"C i G" is a polska from Rättvik, Dalarna, Sweden, also known as "Grins Hans jässpodspolska", played here together with guitarist Gunnar Börjesson. This is track number 4 on my CD "Olle Gällmo - med pipan i säcken".

Gubbdansen (lit. "the old men's dance") is a polska from Gotland. The slow and limping interpretation is mine, though, inspired by the title. This is the 13th track on my CD "Olle Gällmo - med pipan i säcken".

Lördagsvisa (lit. "Saturday song") is a Swedish traditional song from Småland about a young man who is walking home from a hard week's work, looking forward to meet his girlfriend. This is the second track on my CD "Olle Gällmo - med pipan i säcken".

This is a result of a collaboration project, where I tried to be creative together with some of my social networking friends, by recording and sending sound files back and forth, in this case British guitarist Steve Reid. I've never met Steve in person.

Enkronan Blues is a weird mix of a Swedish traditional tune, "Enkronaspolskan", played by me on Swedish bagpipes to the accompaniment of Steves amazing guitar playing. You may or may not like it, but at least it is different! :-)

Petter Dufva  (1756-1836) was a fiddler in Småland who wrote down many tunes in a note book, dated 1807. In total it contains about 200 tunes (mostly polskas, some menuets). Many of the polskas (and at least two of the menuets) are playable on Swedish bagpipes, in some cases with minor adjustments.

This is a polska from that tune book, in a version which I learned from one of Smålands finest fiddlers, Eva Johansson, a few years ago. Thanks Eva!
