Chain of Fools is a song written by Don Covay originally intended for the majestic Otis Redding. It is claimed that the song is an unauthorized rewrite of a gospel song named "Pains of Life" recorded by Rev E Fair & The Sensational Gladys Davis. Covay recorded his demo version of Chain of Fools while singing Gospel with his brothers and sisters. After listening to the demo Jerry Wexler, an Atlantic Records producer, chose to place the song with their rising female star Aretha Franklin in 1967 rather than with Redding as he felt a women’s voice would do more right to the song.

This retreat is done with respect to the original by RocknRolla Soundsystem

For your information, I have replayed a lot of instrumentation in it : Bass, Drums and some Keyboards as well... 
This ultimate version is 10:00 long (you have time enough to go get a drink, or do a phone call when you play it 😄 Lol !...) and the Bpm is 127.
Please don't slow it down, I think it's great to play it at 127.

As a Prince fan I have bought many of his records from his official catalogue, but also from his "unofficial" catalogues (Bootlegs, concerts...) Same as many of you, I guess, and we are all sad today after what happened ...
The least that I could do was paying tribute to this Music Master in giving all my heart into working on a revamping of one of my favorite track : "Money Don't Matter 2 Night".
BPM is 112.
I have added my special touch on the Drums, with an intro and outro as well, but wanted to stay not to far from the original.
Special shout to all the Prince lovers !
