elrow Music is back at it again this April, presenting its second EP of the month, after the amazing Nu Sky’s ‘Analog Heaven’. ERM102 comes in the hands of one of Italy’s breakthrough talents, Simone Liberali. With the name ‘Cuts Of Funk EP’, Simone has tailored a four tracker of originals with the perfect vibe and imbued with elrow’s patented sound. Opening the EP is ‘Moove Ya (Original Mix)’, a firm track that increases in intensity as it develops, with a strong percussion, a lot of different vocal touches and horn sounds that give this track a special and strong essence of its own. Following we find ‘Keep Up (Original Mix)’, that starts with a different pattern, more tech-housy, filled with sound FX and, by the middle of the track, a vocal line appears stealing all the show, along some pretty mental sound effects, setting this track apart in terms of quality. In third place, we have ‘Panameras (Original Mix), starting with its own vibe, with some crazy vocals that give it a truly funky touch, specially by the middle of the song, when all breaks into some dancefloor craziness. Finally, closing the EP we have the highlight of the record, ‘Overnight (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with full energy, with tight percussions, some really great and sexy vocal touches, and sound FX, all with elrow’s trademark vibe, making this the big banger of the EP. All-in-all, ‘Cuts Of Funk’ is imbued with funk-ish touches in all of its tracks, having that high energy that elrow Music is all about. Big shout to Simone Liberali!

London-based duo Leftwing & Kody deliver their first outting on Solid Grooves Records with their ‘Sound Boy’ EP, featuring the banging tech house anthem of a title track.

Following releases on Truesoul, Relief, Knee Deep In Sound and their own Lost Records imprint, Leftwing & Kody are broadening their reach once again by gracing Solid Grooves. Their music has been the focal point of dancefloor stomping club nights for the past five years and this next release further showcases their jacking motif.

By utilizing a legendary vocal sample from an old-school garage classic, ‘Sound Boy’ is made for peak-time moments. Booming bass, hard hitting percussion and whimsical, whirring sirens make for an infectious tune with strong dancefloor appeal.

Look for the ‘Sound Boy’ EP to be release June 30.
