'Ape Delay' influences 2

We put on a night at the Art Groupie space in Sydney on Saturday 15th September. We've been meaning to put on a themed music night for a long time and this, finally, was it. Discarding the usual ollo eclecticism, we played NDW, new wave, coldwave, minimal synth and other kindred spirits. Plus you'll hear the occasional ollo track - it's incredibly rare for us to play our own stuff, for once we actually did. This is the first part of a two-part mix.

ollo have been making electronic music since 1998. They first appeared live at Sydney club Frigid in 2000, their first album dropped in 2002, and they have played live and DJ'd in the USA, UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, and Vietnam. Their weekly radio show, Extended Play, has been running for 8 years on Sydney's 2SER. In 2011, as part of the sellout Underbelly Arts Festival on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour, ollo created a music/history/storytelling/video hybrid over the course of a three week residency, called EG1/EXT, in tribute to the industrial workers of the island. And... loads more. It's all out there. Somewhere.
