Following the first two successful volumes, Valique is finally back with the third volume of Adventures in Acid Boogie! As expected this release is full of various styles, from deep house to boogie and nu disco vibes, all under the unique style of our beloved Valique. 

First remix is Valique's take on one of Bulgaria's funkiest bands, Dj Macron & the Palos Santos. Dime Amor is transformed to a deep acid electro boogie track, genius arrangement and flare. 

Following up is a deep house take on another favourite from Bulgaria, Koka Mass Jazz and their Play The Game that features US based Tiffany Blu on the vocals. Next up is his remix transformation on Afrodisia track from Funky Destination. This time with a deep boogie and Balearic vibe. 

Fourth and fifth tracks of the release is another remix Valique made for Dj Marcon & The Palos Santos. Here he remixes their latest track A Journey South, presented in two versions, the first is an organic interlude jam working like an intro while the second version is reaching deeper into electro and tech orientated with super dirty bass and groovy guitars cooked with a touch of psychedelia. 

Next remix on the track list is for UK's Smoove & Turrell feat. Izo FitzRoy and his refreshed take on You're Gone. The songs is transformed into a boogie acid, disco house groove kicking up the bpm! Last but not least is Valique's balearic remix on Timewarp inc's Discogirls. With simple words this release is a full filled with strong beats and grooves made with a dance floor concept!

For over 10 years years we at Gouranga have been treating your ears to secret bootlegs, edits, premiere's and most recently Live DJ recordings. 

Through partying, hosting our own events and endlessly exploring different musical genres we have experienced many good times and made many wonderful friends.

This mixtape series is a way for us to give back to our loyal SoundCloud community. For this we will be commissioning theme-specific musical journeys from some of our favourite producers, collaborators and good friends

To commence our Mixtape series, we asked our friend and producer extraordinaire Leo Zero to create something unique for Gouranga. 

Having made no less than 4 remixes for Bryan Ferry's Avonmore album, Leo has produced this hypnotic hour-long Mixtape that takes you through no less than 19 tracks from the Roxy Music icon.

"When you receive the studio masters for a Bryan Ferry remix it's like opening a treasure chest... with legendary session musicians and collaborators in the brew - from Nile Rogers on guitar to soul divas on backing vox - you can hear how the other remixers on this project had as much fun with the source material as i did. Putting them all together in a dj mix was a great challenge...   but i'm very pleased with this hour of ambient / funky / chaotic / abstract remix moments from the Avonmore album remix project. Massive thanks to @Isaacferry for being such a dedicated curator and A&R on it all. And thanks Gouranga for the opportunity and to Adrian Darby for management.

Welcome to EP-162 of the NDYD Radio Show. From the outer reaches of the discoverse zooms, our guest this week The Silver Rider, a trans-dimensional traveller and purveyor of fine disco, house, funk and soul. Crash landing in Austin, TX in 1984 and raised as the Earthly son of discotheque proprietors, The Silver Rider, nee’ Davey Schacherl, was fed a steady diet of mono synths, Garage-classics and party culture ethics which sharpened his many talents. Gaining his first club residency by age 18, Davey continued to hone his skills in the Austin club and rave circuit and earned a respected position in the local community. Having since played tunes on both American coasts and provided guest sets in countless major cities, Davey finally put his sights on the studio and began concocting dancefloor magic with his tracks and edits.

Always keeping a deep and disco aesthetic, The Silver Rider’s efforts have found favor with label’s such as Whiskey Disco, Smokecloud Records and Editor’s Kutz and garnered support from global luminaries like Jacques Renault, The Reflex and Eddie C.  Not only has The ‘Rider’s tunes made booties boogie in every hemisphere of the planet, but the boppers are sure to turn out whenever Davey occupies the decks. His sets are infectious, electric, organic and brimming with soul and personality... expect a wide selection of grooves and tempos from the obscure to the euphoric. Spreading stardust and extraterrestrial vibes wherever the cosmos take him, The ‘Rider aims to inject funk into the bloodstreams of millions of un-funky, non-rhythm-having, so called party-people.

The NDYD Radio Show EP162 - guest mix by THE SILVER RIDER - Austin, TX

A couple of things this week made me revisit this edit. Firstly Greg Wilson featured it in a 'Festival Anthems' selection he recently uploaded to Mixcloud - http://tinyurl.com/d6yvsbc - and secondly it was featured in the closing scene and credits to this weeks episode of Mad Men. The combined effect meant that a fair few people have been downloading the version I uploaded here 3 years ago (which was also only available as a low quality MP3), so I thought it apt to give it a 'spit and polish' and make a remastered WAV version available for download. 

Even if you downloaded my original version you should grab this too as the remaster kicks like the proverbial mule!  :)
