40 years of passion and mixes... A fan of funk and new wave from a very young age, and then the "holy grail" arrived from the US (Detroit/Chicago/New York): the blend of new wave, funk, and soul; a new musical era...
In this mix (complicated because some tracks aren't "linear"), most of the tracks that had a passionate impact on me, or that were at the origin of this "revelation."
An underground world at its core (only a few tracks here have gone beyond this stage), and tracks that captivated me and accompanied me throughout my musical and personal evolution.
This time, from 1985 to 1999, with deep and house music.
And techno, of course, but that will be in a future chapter :)...

40 ans de mix : 1er chapitre deep et house (85-99)

A change of decade for an evolution of my "attractions" in terms of electronic music; an evolution (unfortunately) due to the fact that all the magic of the 90s through the US sounds (both deep and groovy) have disappeared. Many producers have "Europeanized" or even commercialized themselves following the wave of the French touch and more particularly Daft Punk. I have never again found this side at once soulful, deep and pure groovy but without losing my taste for deep music.
With this, sounds "harder", hypnotic but still full of emotions. A more electronic "path" flirting with techno at times. Even if the decade of the 2000s was not a great vintage in my opinion (I'm not talking about this whole overground movement), some incredible tracks, and present in this mix, have nevertheless marked me.
A lot of German artists and productions.

Not easy to describe myself in the big electronic music world. I discovered mixing and djing in the 90s so can I say I'm a DJ? But hard enough to define the DJ nowadays. As a electronic music geek, I listen to about a hundred tracks a day to find out what kind of genre I can play in the mixes and what the current trend is. Social networks and mixing enable to share my inspiration and to receive precious skills. Recently, I've started to be more creative and produced my own music. Finally I can only say one thing, no matter what I mix, I play, I find and I create, electronic music stays true to who I am. No need to search, my music is a means of sharing, that’s all!
