Olympias’ live sets are inspired by chill-out, dub, deep house, minimal, techno, and a bit of blues creating a warm and hypnotic sound. She studied the piano from the age of 6, and at 12, she began singing lessons. Starting her career in piano bars in Dublin in 2004, Olympias was drawn to the nightclub scene. She began to DJ with her friends at after-parties by learning how to beat-match and listening carefully to mixes by her favorite DJs repeatedly. Although she loves to dance, you might see her on the dance floor concentrated as she tries to decipher how a sound was created. 

As a DJ, she played in the Sugar Factory and Radion in Amsterdam. She had a residency in Dublin with Division, and played in Germany, Spain, the US, Hong Kong, and Thailand. In 2018, she decided to go deeper as her passion for music production took over. Focused on learning Ableton, she completed her first course at Elevator Program. 

With Ableton Live, Push, a Nektar Keyboard, and Bose Vox Pedal, she learned how to create sounds, sample, EQ, compress, and organise her projects to create a unique groove that can be played in the living room or the club. She kept her training going and started 1-1 sessions with Subb-An. These sessions helped her structure her ideas and create complete tracks. After receiving a follow on Instagram from one of her favourite producers’ new school - Mathew Johnson’s Freedom Engine Academy, Olympias couldn’t pass off the chance in taking part. She applied and enrolled in 2022 and was brought back to her first years of music theory, and practicing her scales on the piano. 

Her clean and full sound that she is known for comes from her first course at Elevator Program where she learned about workflow and key features for getting the best quality mix down. She is thrilled that her first official release will be with the label of the same name early 2023.
