Zona Interdunar played this set live in January and recorded it straight from the mixer. It's an old analog console with post-fader outputs, so they can capture all the dynamics and live knob twisting that they were doing. The input comes from all their toys: electric bass, trumpet, voice, synthesizers, and drum machine. All this is further processed with various modulations and effects pedals. The heart of their set is the drums, which they created on a modern drum machine, and the top drums from 909. They dictate the flow of the entire performance. On this carpet of beats, other elements take turns painting different scenes: sometimes a distorted bass plays an industrial metal riff, sometimes a trumpet floats in a sea of reverb. In addition to all this, short sentences are spoken in a conversational manner and made almost unintelligible by ruthless voice processing.
