03 Manasa Bhajare

We talked about the twenty -four syllables that are in Gayatri Mantra. We also discussed the origin of this mantra and who invoked it first and what that person used it for? Practically, Vishwamitra used it to become the universe himself, to have that constant connection with universal consciousness. We have right and left side of the brain. The left-brain is responsible for logic and calculations and also for chattering of the mind. The right brain on the other hand is for creativity, art, vision and foresight and so on.

When you chant gayatri mantra, there are two channels in human body. There are three but physically you can only trace two. One is called ida nadi, also know as the lunar channel. The other one is called pingala nadi, also known as the solar channel. Solar channel regulates psychic heat in the body as well as the physical heat in the body. It is when you breathe through your right nostril. When you chant Gayatri mantra, it actually boosts your right brain. It is very good for strengthening the right side of the brain.

The question asked in this discourse was how to stay happy all the time?

On the question of staying happy all the time, in reality, this is impossible. A person with a stable mind cannot stay happy all the time. When you are not happy, do not feel bad about it. Tell yourself that it is okay. This is one of those moments where I am not happy, No Problem. This is not the first time I am feeling unhappy, and this shall pass as well. 

Happiness is either in the hope or in those thoughts in which we visualize getting the thing that we
want to get and feel happy about that. We basically feel happy only when everything goes according to our wishes. But that happiness is also for a very short time. In fact, the most depressed people I have seen are the ones who are well-off from every aspect of their life. Because they have no reason to have any sorrow. That is why they don't know how to stay happy. if there are no sorrows or
adverse situations in life, if there are no challenges in life then life is not worth living. If there are no problems left to solve then life itself becomes a problem. When there is no burden to carry in life,
then life becomes a burden.

Can you always be happy - [Hindi]

The question asked in the discourse was - What is destiny vs. how much of it do we control karma. 

Destiny is not something that can be proven. When someone is hit with a brick in their head, they look around and question why this happened to them. On the contrary, if someone gets a million dollars, no one questions why they got it. But when we go through a tough time, that's when we question if it is destiny or what did I do in my life to deserve something like this. The truth is, anything can happen to anyone. It doesn't matter how good your karma or how sound your destiny is. One must always work in life believing in karma; destiny can only play a role if you become a worthy recipient. 

When something doesn't happen in our life, where do we look for answers? Do we look for answers in things we don't control, in which case we will end up blaming someone or something else. Or should we look for answers within? In fact, that is the whole journey of awakening, that we look within for all our answers. When we do this, chances are that we realize somewhere we are responsible for the issues we face.

Is It Destiny Or Karma

In this discourse, Om Swami answers three questions. 

The First Question - If you do good karma, can you prevent any misfortune from occurring in your life? With how much fear should one live in, or should one lead a life with faith in God.  Om Swami Says, even you have done millions of good deeds (Karma), there is no guarantee that
nothing bad will happen to you. What is the meaning of "bad"?  It is something that happened not according to your favor. But one must ask, is it truly bad? This is the difference
between pain and suffering, Sorrow is suffering but the pain is not. Say you have done a
lot of good deeds, but did not look after your health, can your good deeds prevent illness in your body? That's not possible. No one knows when and which Karmic account will be used. No one can predict who will win the lottery. But we cannot live in fear, that will make us weak.

The Second Question -  When the Soul is going towards liberation at a fast speed does it try to clear the Karmic debt of many past lives in one life? 

The Third question -  Is it true that different Yugas (Satyug, Tretayug, Dwaparyug, and Kalyug)
are happening in the different parts of the universe?
