Vibrating with intention from the off, Timnah's set guides the room around mercurial, shifting contours - distinctively prismatic soundscapes echoing with incisive energy. Intuitively tracing currents whilst expanding the pressure, Timnah cuts through percussive, disparate passages before cresting into 4/4 with unerring, unbroken force.

- Hey Timnah, how's it going? What's news?
Hey there, I'm doing really well, thanks! I'm still on tour at the moment and am currently in San Francisco, enjoying some downtime after the Parameter Festival. The weather is lovely and sunny, and the city is really welcoming :)

- What can you tell us about this year's Mostra, and what are your memories from the event?
This year was truly something special. Many of my closest friends from Switzerland were there, which was absolutely lovely. It was also Mostra’s fifth anniversary, and I’m really proud to have been part of it from the very beginning. For me, Mostra is a wonderful annual gathering with lots of good friends from near and far. The musical exchange is incredibly enriching and always a great source of inspiration.

- Tell us more about your set - how was the vibe, and are there any moments that stand out for you?
I had a brilliant slot between Toé and Surgeon on Saturday night. 
That meant I could make the transition from d&b steps to 4/4, which I always really enjoy :) The atmosphere was really nice, the place was packed and you could feel the great vibe! So once again, thank you Mostra! <3

Perceptions. Timnah at Mostra 2026, Barcelona

This ambient/experimental session by Parallel festival head honcho Refracted was recorded at a Lucid Dreams event at Espacio Perpendicular and publicly released as DSS 136 for your listening pleasure!

Refracted’s music feels as fundamentally human as it sounds otherworldly. It
is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily- labeled sound. It is
dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a neural, sub epidermal
level, while moving and evolving soundscapes acquire a tactile, understated
physicality. Paramount examples of this can be found on releases on
Refracted’s own Mind Express label, and on celebrated labels like Bitta,
PoleGroup, Semantica, Sublunar and Canadian ambient/deep-techno imprint
Silent Season.

With his path unraveling further, his sound has evolved beyond just techno,
becoming a conduit for exploring the boundaries of experimental and drone
music.

Spiritual, almost meditative, his sets also possess a strong kinetic energy
when needed, which is a clear indication of a DJ who knows the fundamental
role of dancing as part of the ritual. He wants to take us somewhere, the
“where” being of our own choosing, the trail never being the most travelled.

For our 83rd podcast, we present a special recording of o.utlier’s set at Mo:dem Festival 2025. Given complete artistic freedom at the festival’s alternative Seed stage, he leaned into a bass-driven & exploratory approach, moving through spacious textures, broken rhythms and psychedelic pressure.

We asked Rory about his experience performing the set:

‘’Returning to Mo:dem Festival for a second time, I arrived feeling much more comfortable and with a clearer sense of how far you can push things musically there. It was my first time playing at night, which gave the set a completely different energy.

Playing the alternative stage at a festival like this feels incredibly liberating, slightly removed from expectation and free to follow a different atmosphere. The Seed stage felt like the perfect setting to have fun with both the music and the crowd, and this set had been slowly taking shape in the back of my mind throughout the summer leading up to it.

For our 33rd installment, we invited DOC: a Spanish DJ and live performer, true selector, head honcho of Selene Series, event organizer, and much more. He is a one-of-a-kind music head, earning respect not only in the Netherlands but around the globe.

His selections sit at the crossroads of ambient and techno: a grey area where downtempo, dub, and breaks can also become ingredients in his psychoactive soup. Whether it is a peak-time club-night mix or a horizontal listening experience, DOC has the range to cover it all.

For this episode of the series, he shared with us the closing set he played at Laut in Barcelona in December, during his own Selene Series anniversary party. That night, he played alongside Connie and Pianeti Sintetici live.

Lynne is a Japanese, London-based artist whose sound has drifted from its drum & bass roots into more textural, obscure and experimental territory, though those roots always remain at its core. She's most at home in the grey space between genres, where her rhythm becomes a gravitational force pulling dancers in all the right directions.

For Monument she has prepared a presentation that truly showcases her skillset in the field.
