We were joined by Houriya Al Balushi, Head of Innovation and Technology Transfer at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Mussanah, following the conclusion of UTAS-Talks – Season Three.

The competition brought together preparatory programme students from UTAS branches across the Sultanate, giving them a platform to share ideas, challenge themselves, and speak confidently in English before a live audience.
In this conversation, we reflected on why initiatives like UTAS-Talks mattered, how students rose to the occasion, and what skills they walked away with beyond the stage.
