The vast depth of space offers not only beautiful vistas and enigmatic mysteries but also terrifying dangers. Whether the colourful gleam of a vast nebula or the molten throes of a newborn planet, there is but one certainty in the boundless frontier -  Uncertainty. As you look out across the stars from the thin viewport ahead, that flimsy sheet of glass and hastily crafted metal bracket your only shield against whatever the heavens decide to send your way, you can't help but wonder: Which of these will shape your fate? Slowly, tentatively, you make your way forward into the unknown.

Composed for a good friend of mine, studying Game Development. His current game Legacy: Corsairs involves intense battles on the open sea between pesky pirates and vicious vikings.... what more could you ever need?

The seas are an enigma to any human. They contain terrors that no man can face, endless horizons to explore and limitless potential at their depths. There is truly no feeling like unfurling the main sail and letting the winds propel you, either to your destination or simply wherever they will.  This is not a fearsome voyage, or one taken under concern, but simply started from the love of sailing. Those who live at sea and wish for nothing more than the thrill of the journey, the excitement of the undiscovered lands that await their eager eyes to simply find them. Sailing is a life, exploration the love. The uninformed call us 'Pirates', others 'Corsairs', but we are much more. We are free men.
