Born in 1970, Mr. Caputi already in 1993 stands out on international scene with the transcriptions of Concerti Brandeburghesi n°3 and n°6 by J.S.Bach, performed by Massimo Nosetti in Paris (Saint Eustache), Los Angeles (Crystal Cathedral), Lipsia (Gewandhaus) before its publishing and recording happened in 2000 thanks to the same author.

After that other transcriptions as that of Concerti Grossi by G.F.Handel and different compositions for choir and organ and for organ solo as the latest and most appreciated Toccata sul tema del Dies Irae presented in 2012 at the International Festival of Santa Rita in Turin. Defined by the specialized critics as “a great musician”, in 1998 he had his debut as composer in Rome in Sant’Ignazio church and in Saint Peter Basilica in Vatican with Alleluia per la festa di Pentecoste for choir and organ, even this published, earning considerable appreciations.
Omar finished his studies at the Conservatoire “G.F.Ghedini” of Cuneo with Massimo Nosetti, teacher and friend, he perfected himself on ancient, romantic and modern French music with René Saorgin, Daniel Roth, Francois Delor and Lionel Rogg.

As a completion of his own artistic training, he attended the course on music analysis with Marcel Bitsch, prestigious French composer, and the three-years course of Gregorian chant in Chieri. Eclectic musician, he performed as organ player, harpsichordist and choir director, both as soloist and in group and his attention and artistic research gave him the possibility to perform unique concerts in Italian music view. In 2007 with Banda della Polizia Municipale of the city of Turin, he performed for the first time in Europe a memorable concert, The Fenlands, an original composition for organ and Symphonic Band of the great English musician Arthur Wills.

In 2013, always in first European performance, in collaboration with Ercole Ceretta, director and trumpet soloist, realizes a special CD with the work of the Norwegian Kjell Mørk Karlsen, composed for organ, brass band and percussions. Even in choral and organ field his effort is consistent, having realized, under the direction of Massimo Nosetti, the performances of important works as Requiem by Maurice Duruflé, the great Messe Solennelle by Louis Vierne, Messe by Camille Saint-Saëns. Teacher of organ at the music school “Lodovico Rocca” of Alba, he develops his intense organ activity since 25 years at Santuario di Santa Rita da Cascia in Turin on the prestigious mechanical organ of four keyboards by Zanin of which he is the holder.
