Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars (Hardwell Remix)
Featuring several world exclusive premieres during his EDC Las Vegas set last weekend, Hardwell unveiled not just the first single (Arcadia) from his forthcoming, as yet untitled, studio album, but also his mesmerizing remix of Coldplay’s beautiful collaboration with Avicii ‘A Sky Full of Stars’.
 
Adding subtle touches, the Dutch megastar producer has succeeded in retaining the euphoria of the original, whilst giving the record a fresh progressive deepness, that sees it journey down a new, more club driven tone. Frontman Chris Martin’s voice is as dreamlike as ever, swelling alongside the song’s catchy pop-like melody, but the sprinkling of Hardwell’s signature sound gives the record another gear, transforming it into an anthemic masterpiece perfectly suited to the mainstage.
 
Personally invited by the label (FFRR/Parlophone) to remix the second single from their new album ‘Ghost Stories’, Hardwell said “I’ve long been a fan of the band so when I discovered they wanted me to remix one of the tracks from their new album, it was really a ‘wow’ moment for me. It’s such an honor and I’m really proud of the outcome of the track. When I dropped it at EDC Las Vegas, the crowd’s reaction was electrifying; it still gives me Goosebumps thinking about it!”

Produced by the award-winning Ghanaian producer Killbeatz, ‘T.I.N.A’ is another slice of afro-pop brilliance, set to sit comfortably on radio airwaves and club dance floors. An acronym for This Is New Africa, the title of the song drives home its lyrical content, namely a celebration of Fuse’s love for his motherland, the Africa of Now.
 
With four chart hits in as many singles to his name, the past 12 months has seen Fuse ODG not only cement his standing as a trailblazer for Afrobeats, but also fast become a mainstream star. So I know at this point theres been 10 million Kanye remixes, and remixes of Kanye remixes, and mashups of Kanye remixes but...I just had to do one.  The Chainsmokers at this point need no introduction but in case you've been living deep, deep under a rock for the past couple years they are a couple dudes from NYC (where I live) who have very nice hair and who make really amazing tunes.  The best remixes always start with the best originals and The Chainsmokers absolutely crushed this one with an amazing vocal from SirenXX, which was a blast to work with.  

Siren's vocal to me has a great indie vibe and is unusual for a progressive house track, so I tried to stay true to that with the remix and compliment the vocal with a really clean and stripped down breakdown that leaves a lot of space in the mix.  Throw in a catchy piano house riff and a melodic drop and I couldn't be happier with how this one turned out.  As the guys said when they dropped the original - "This song is about doing you, living life how you want to live it and not giving a fuck what anyone else thinks. Its about owning your shit and being happy with your life, no matter the circumstances, rich or poor, skinny or fat, young or old its about exuding confidence" - so I hope this remix keeps that vibe alive for you for just a little bit longer.
