Morning Stretches

2nd track off my new tape and the last teaser ill be posting. 

This one is for anyone who's had to move out of a beloved home due to financial issues. one of my first big heartbreaks as a kid was being told we'd have to sell our house because my mom couldn't afford it without my father's help. 

There was a summer I spent living with my dad because me and my mom had gotten into a big argument. I remember one day telling her I was ready to move back and that I was sorry, about a month before I started high school. We then sold the house in October so there wasnt much time left. But i cherish those few months as some of the happiest in my adolescence. I also remember sitting in a mostly empty bedroom, playing the last parts of mass effect 2 on the floor with just a tv and an x box with such a strange feeling. I swore till the very end that we weren't actually moving.

Idk what im getting at with all this but damn i miss this house and i still pass it sometimes and think I ought to ask the new family if I could walk the property a bit for old times sake. I worry that it might make me more sad tho; Ive had a lot of dreams where im living there again, but then I walk into my room and a random kid is sleeping in it.
