I created this tribute to Dave Pad, one of the masterminds behind the Volen Sentir project alongside Anjei. 

Not only is Dave a talented artist and producer, but he's also the proud owner of the Forestrip Label and has released numerous tracks under his project Travertia.

Many people may not know that Dave has a vast collection of groovy deep- and tech- house music, both a remixer and original producer. 

In fact, Dave has been producing music in these genres long before Volen Sentir hit the charts. This mix showcases his lesser-known work, and I hope you enjoy it, even though it may be a departure from your usual style.

VOLI
Cinematic Label │ Cocoon Recordings
VOLI is a new means of expressing dance music initiated by Fumihiro Hoshi in 2020.Born in Tokyo, Japan, he started DJing and producing music in 2001, and has been based in Sapporo since 2012. After receiving high acclaim from Cocoon Recordings, the world's top German electric music label headed by Sven Väth, he was offered to become the first Asian artist to release "Still Laughing" under the name Fumihiro Hoshi in 2012.He also has been active in Japanese music industry for taking charge of remix of Ken Ishii 15th Anniversary Collaborations "RNC" and "The Axe Murderer". In 2012, with the release of Cocoon Recordings as a milestone, he put an end to his activities under the name Fumihiro Hoshi and plans to start activities under the name VOLI in 2019, adding elements of various genres to his existing techno style. 2023, he will resume track production.

Here is a rare find of Ian Metty's Vinyl Dj Set from one of the parties in London back in 2008 (those still amazing years), we know its from 9.9.2008 but what party it was...? no clue...

perhaps one of those memorable nights around Brick Lane, Shoreditch area, where we used to do lots parties back in those "wild days". (if you remember this night please comment :-) ...
I was 22 back then so really no clue where it was as we were doing 3-4 nights per week back then :D

I hope you enjoy it and hopefully will bring you some smiles and memories like it did to me finding this one on my old Hard Drive :-)
