Tresor is a titanic techno brand that has very much had a large say in how the genre has sounded over the last few decades. The German club and label now welcomes Parisian artist UFO95 into the fold with his Backward Improvement EP which draws on elements of all the genre's many niches from London to Detroit to Berlin. 'Cogitor' is thumping and wried up with warped lines, 'Sexual Tension' has a more seductive sound with a rubbery and funky bassline and 'Fragment' then brings panel-beating loops for peak time showdowns. There is pure sci-fi atmosphere to the bells and the sonorous synths of 'Solar' and 'Gargk' closes down with a glitchy and ambient-laced breakbeat monster. Great variation makes this a useful EP.

Everything seems to be fine, just ignore that little tear in the sky, it is only a side-effect and will go away on its own... (probably).

Mute est un collectif parisien fondé en 2019 (initialement sous le nom "Emulation Seine") par Jaag, Mhoax et 4000 Hz. Les travaux du collectif sont orientés techno cinématique, EBM et industrielle, ce qui les a amenés à croiser le fer avec d'autres organisations évoluant sur cette scène en pointe, dont Ultracks ou très récemment Demian Records avec Cvnsumed et Znzl, mais encore des valeurs montantes comme Ey.Rah, Catartsis, Ombrar, LASK, Malwere, Hyden ou Esilise. Mute s'inscrit pleinement dans la mouvance récente qui ramène une âme, une structure et une narration dans la techno industrielle, loin des paillettes agitées et des outrances hardstyle.

Mute sera représenté ce vendredi par Jaag et Mhoax.
Anciennement à la tête du collectif lyonnais Harem, puis ayant organisé quelques soirées en Autriche où il a vécu un moment, Jaag a débarqué sur Paris et fondé Mute. Ayant le goût de la production, sa musique est à l'image de ses soirées : sombre, froide mais toujours entraînante. Il s'inspire de genres variés, allant de la techno industrielle à l'EBM, en passant par la techno cinématique. Jouant pour pas mal de soirées parisiennes telles que Khaos, Ultracks, Belladone et d'autres, il commence à s'exporter en Allemagne et en Italie. Dernièrement il a sorti un morceau sur le VA du nouveau label Snake Records, aux côtés d'Abr., Laure et HVSH notamment.

Issu de la nouvelle génération d'artistes parisien, Mhoax est un producteur et Dj, membre du collectif Mute, ainsi que du label Initiatives Studio. Avec ses compositions énigmatiques , il développe une techno industrielle moderne teintées de rythmiques déchainées et sonorités cinglantes. Après la sortie de son EP conceptuel « Bloody Horror Tape » rendant hommage à la musique de cinéma de genre, son dernier projet 3 titres « RMFTTH » retourne à une techno plus lourde, froide et singulière, influencée par la scène industrielle et noise anglaise. Ses sets développent une partie importante de son univers, plongeant l'auditeur dans une danse macabre aux rythmes infernaux.
