SHERELLE and NAINA launch their highly anticipated label Hooversound with 'BS6'.

Bringing together Bristol based DJ /producer Hyroglifics and Detroit DJ/ producer Sinistarr for an exciting dancefloor-ready EP, ‘BS6’ sees two of the most consistent and exciting names in the underground electronic music scene join forces. 

Having both released on iconic labels in the past (Sinistarr with Exit Records, Hospital, Metalheadsz whilst Hyroglifics with Critical, Astrophonica, 1985 Music - to name a few), the two producers shine in this new collaborative EP which merges together elements of footwork, jungle and techno. 

The EP features two collaborative tracks that stand by two solo tracks from each producer. Electronic pioneer and legend Scratcha DVA brings his GQOM and moody percussion on the official remix.

"Ah for once I have so much to say about a mix. It was recorded at home on my janky cdjs, the very last night before it was due (sorry Frankie!). I don’t think I’ve ever held off recording a mix for this long before, but with how the world is at the minute I couldn’t figure out what to put together? I’ve been feeling introspective and moody and caged in and anxious and full of energy, but then there are these sweeping moments of optimism for when we can all come together again. So I guess that’s what this mix is, within the framework of the dance music I love. I sneaked in a first listen of a new track by me, and there’s a bit of modified Rashad towards the end too - I’ve been thinking about his music a lot at the minute. 

I really can’t wait for us all to hold each other in the rave again, and I hope this mix can help tide us over until then." - @yung-anz

The 11th instalment of the Shell Tape series comes from Crab Claw co-conspirator Doug Swamp. A crate digger of the Discogs generation, Doug's selections are as eclectic as they are functional, applying modern dance floor sensibilities to classic sounds with panache and cheek.

With one foot in the 80s, another in 2030 and a double negroni in hand, the mix takes us on an hour long journey that sees proto-house rub shoulders with worldy electro-pop, cinematic italo-disco and anthemic floor fillers with a vintage twist of lime.
