Desolation And Hopeless

If you use a certain type of move enough times, you will gain an affinity for it. Keep on using and you'll enter an Affinity Transition, allowing you to get stronger in that affinity but also gain a few weaknesses as well. You will also gain a style based on how you play the game which further augments your abilities. If you don't like the style affinity you end up with, tough luck. This is who you are. You can detransition back to your original form at any time, but doing so will make you way more miserable than embracing your true self. You will get opportunities to try different affinity styles later in the game.

Affinity Transition

The boss theme for chapter 3. An extremely obnoxious fight made even more annoying by the ice physics causing you to slip and slide around. It makes you so angry, you could just explode in rage.

Ice Cold Emma C.

A beacon of light shines over the district, bathing its residents in a hallowed glow. A respite of safety within a desolate place, or so you would think. Be especially careful, the residents of the false light may seem harmless, friendly even, but they're as empty as the rest. They'll make you feel good, in that their attacks will bypass your defences. If they do a good enough job distracting you, you won't even notice your light fading. That being said, the belua here are lulled into a false sense of security, so I don't think you'll find much conflict here. Just keep an eye on your vitals at all times.
