It felt like a great showcase of the vibes that I tend to go for in a club setting, and my flow for how I set the mood. I'll be honest - I'm not your typical "wants a headliner slot to play bangers" DJ... I'm a mood provider... and I'm MORE than happy to be the first one on to get the night started right. Not sure how it happens but this party just keeps getting better and better! The weather this year was amazing once again, the lineup was top notch and we had more people, more hugs and more love than ever before. Being one of the first few DJ’s to get the party started I put together a head nodding chunky house set that blends into some tech house bombs and finally into some deep breaks at the end. Having grown up in North East Philly (Mayfair), summer block parties were always a thing. This mixtape is something I've been wanting to do ever since I learned how to Dj 10 years ago. It's a collection of my parents records and digital tunes that made me think of those block parties that I looked forward to with bittersweetness, when our block had our party, school was just around the corner.
