Hello, welcome to today’s meditation. My name is Anna, owner of the Yoga Barn. Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation called The Rhythm of Life Meditation. For so many of us, our life has been interrupted by the current COVID virus situation. The life, the connection, the rhythm we once knew, and enjoyed has changed. With all these changes, many of us may feel out of sorts, anxious, disconnected and even overwhelmed by the stress associated with the disruption in our rhythm. There are many rhythms to life - there are tidal rhythms, lunar rhythms, seasonal rhythms, the daily circadian rhythm of night and day, of light and darkness. And in my life, and I imagine in yours as well, there are the rhythms associated with work, family, household, travel, commuting, shopping, appointments, and socializing like dining out; to name a few. These rhythms, just like our body’s breath and heartbeat are a natural extension of our human experience. And now those life rhythms have been disrupted, changed or at least slowed down. It’s no wonder we feel out of balance, out of rhythm. For today’s meditation, I am going to guide you through a process of reconnecting to the rhythm of life. That way you can hopefully reground, get present, and feel realigned with the rhythm of your life. Sound good? Great. Let’s get started.
