Following the release of his 2nd album of 2021 (False Conscious Liberation) Tommy Evans tag teams with producer Beat Finder General to unleash his new LP Falling Upwards, an elite-level showcase of beats, bass and bars. 80Four is the fifth and final single from the forthcoming project and another nostalgic nod to the 80s. BFG cooks up a good cop bad cop car chase soundtrack of flatulent bassline, sinister synths and Uzi 9mm (*said in Arnie voice) high hats sprayed out of the speaker! Accordingly, Tommy rides the riddim with tongue-in-cheek lyrics packed with 80s movie references from Karate Kid to Bill & Ted, Die Hard to Robocop: “1-9-8-4 Loadsamoney, pay me more!”

Following the release of his 8th album Van Goth, Tommy Evans returns with Bajan British production maestro  J. Sas to unleash Sun Beams, the 2nd single from their new LP Low Maintenance Genius. Sunbeams’ summer soundscape slaps with punchy drums, ascendant strings & even J Sas whistling on the hook whilst TE showcases his wisdom & wit (”Never sprayed a gun, probably sprain my thumb!”). Sunbeams also features Manchster emcee Ajarni‘s uplifting lyricism alongside Tay-Shan’s wholesome vocals on the hook:  “After hardship comes ease / After darkness sunbeams.” Everybody loves the sunshine!
