Greetings O traveller. Before you rests Mirror, an artifact of needlessly necessary complexity, a portal of self-referential obsession, a flying orb. 

This project is a collaboration between Cristoph Cremer and myself. It is born of our early meetings online, two makers sensing a shared fertility. The approach was minimal, a divination on the nature of our combined essences: sampling only the first ten seconds of Andrei Tarkovsky’s ,Mirror`, each of us set out to make a mono track of equal length. We shared nothing direct about our processes, working blind. Combining our finished works, each became one channel of a stereo track. 
Upon this revealing, we exclaimed our joy! Yet Cristoph lingered, saying “I was expecting more. . . .” We resolved that to complete this, we would bring the new composition back to our drawing boards and whisk it into two newly emulsified stereo tracks a-fizzing, each blind to the process of the other as before. We doubled the length of the final track. 
Cristoph completed theirs in a day, cheating gently by including a small and surreptitious sound. I, however, entered a realm of all-too-human obsessiveness, bending and expanding the boundaries of my comprehension of acoustics, goaded by my partner’s expectations and prowess as a sound designer, transforming myself through a fixation extremely consuming and grueling.  ||After nearly two years, hauling my forgiving friend through an arduous abyss of waiting, I threw in the towel, very dissatisfied and quite pleased, eager to continue creating. The journey is the most potent I’ve ever undergone in garnering deeper knowledge of sound and digital rendering. I have learned so very much from the casual yet rich tutelage of Cristoph, who I know embodies the spirit of genius. Thank you for all the gifts! •:-::-:•
