Berlin-based label BITE run by Phase Fatale has been turning heads ever since its inception five years ago. Now BITE has put out over 25 releases, platforming emerging talents and well-established artists alike, all united by an ambition to push the boundaries of techno.
BITE’s output touches upon a wide range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic dance music: from sparse industrial techno to wave and synthpunk and to the label’s pioneering italo body music. While BITE’s roster remains musically diverse, the imprint has cultivated a community around itself of those attracted by its aesthetic of global malaise and pursuit of romantic sensibility within the cold mechanics of the techno genre. In 5 years of its existence, and with showcases at Berlin’s Berghain, Tbilisi’s KHIDI, New York’s Basement, and various venues in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul, and more places around the globe, BITE has gained global recognition. Five tracks from the Ukraine-born Omon Breaker, who hooked after with the BITE label having relocated to Berlin in 2022 following the invasion by Russian forces.  The sonic palate is varied, drawing from deeper, darker, sparse techno on 'Aldea Malvada' to more energetic, trance-like patterns on 'Augmentation' (which also features BITE's label head Phase Fatale) and the all out space wars soundtrack of 'Unidentified', laying out a solidifying aural agenda as the five tracks unfold.

Omon Breaker is a Ukrainian electronic music artist and producer, born in 1999, whose unique sound has helped him make a name for himself.

From a young age he was drawn to the sounds of The Prodigy, Juno Reactor, and Nero which served as an inspiration when he began producing music in his hometown of Kyiv. Growing up in Dnipro, Ukraine, Omon Breaker was surrounded by the harsh realities of daily violence and social decay, which is reflected in his music. His sound is a fusion of emotional electronic music with a hard-hitting industrial edge, resulting in a unique sound that pushes the boundaries of traditional electronic music.

Despite being forced to leave Ukraine following the Russian invasion in 2022, Omon Breaker remains dedicated to his craft and continues to produce and perform. Being in based in Berlin, he’s still connected to his roots in the Ukrainian electronic music scene.

Omon Breaker's music is a testament to his perseverance and dedication, informed by his personal experiences and struggles. His music is both emotionally profound and industrial and has earned him recognition in the electronic music community - which resulted in performances at iconic clubs as Berghain, ∄, Fuse, Tresor, Rote Sonne or Khidi as well as contributions to labels like BITE, Juicy Gang, MHz or Standard Deviation.
