What originally started in a pub between Charlie Tate & Matt ‘DJ Shuff’ Harris in 1994 has come full circle 31 years later! King Kooba return with their third EP of their trilogy of genres, this time focusing on downbeat jazztronics. The midtempo grooves that made standout albums like NuFoundFunk so beloved. Doh Zen is an electric piano, breaks and bass rolling groover, complete with string stabs and global atmospherics reminiscent of the classic Om Lounge series. It’s the perfect soundtrack to begin the 30th year of Om Records on Valentine’s Day. We hope you enjoy the ride!

Featuring the stand out opener, Doh Zen. an electric piano, breaks and bass rolling groover, complete with string stabs and global atmospherics reminiscent of the classic Om Lounge series. Also included are the meditative breakbeats of Green Flash with electric bass and mellowed out baritone sax. Inner Mist is a mysterious track for the heads, followed by the percussive flute looped Lowereastside and Gumdrop to round everything out, It’s the perfect soundtrack to begin the 30th year of Om Records.

As we move towards a "tropicalisation" of the Mediterranean area, here comes the album "Mediterraneo Tropical" as a sound guide to face the climate changes. This album has a different conception from the previous one. It has been made on the go during last Summer gigs around the Mediterranean Sea. It's directly inspired by beach parties and by the vibrating people met along the way. Once Summer touring was over, Didje Doo finished the work at his home studio in Florence & mixed it with Dario Firuzabadi nearby.

The sound of this album is still deeply connected with the sun and sand, and it brings together elements from different musical cultures from Mali to Central America with the purpose to move your body & lift your soul. It contains three exciting vocal features, Abou Diarra from Mail, Owen G (G combo) from Portugal, and Scott Orr from Canada.
