The Local Talk Mix series don't stop.  We're at the 44th mix now and it's an old friend of the label - Claes Rosén. 
Claes made his debut on Local Talk back in 2013, in the month of July actually. That is eleven years ago... and you know what,  Daydreaming / Wonderful still sounds great. The follow-up "Kvasten I Hörnet" (Google that title if you want) was another five star release with the mighty Needs on remix duties. 

Is Claes back on Local Talk, will there be another future classic out on Local Talk soon. Time will tell and until then, enjoy this mix. These Midsummer Mixes are according to Claes  highly anticipated and eagerly awaited. Have a listen yourself.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself and your record collection.

I'm Pepe aka Zexie Mzungu, residing in Leipzig @ the moment. Digger, Parttime-DJ, Headhoncho of "Born To Shine" but 1st and foremost Musiclover. Not sure (and not caring) about the right amount of records, sth bewteen 3k-4k, splitted ~40/60 between 7" & 12"/LP. Trying to avoid to keep/buy to much stuff I'm never listening to or don't play cause I'm losing overview too fast and still haven't found the right concept to bring them in order. 
Genres range from Independent Bay Area Rap over everything Tropical up to 80s funk. With a spotlight on cheezy & obscure Slowjamz on 7" of which one I can completely lose myself.

45/7 is all about celebrating the 7". Can you tell us a bit about what you love about the the format.

1st it's a practical thing.
It's the easiest format to travel with. 
Another reason is that many unknown bands never made it to release an LP which was more expensive to produce. So the musical testament of many "artists" who never made it to become famous, only exists on a small amount of 7".  Spotting and finding them is my favorite part.

One hour of vinyl goodness... can you talk us through your selection for your 45/7 mix?

There is not a big plan or concept behind it. Just a bunch of my favorite funk 45 I felt the day I recorded. Tomorrow it would be 20 different ones.

Where can people catch you / listen to your music?

Mostly in Leipzig as part of the Phazers Gang / Event series with my buddies Duktus, Tropical Eden and also often teaming up with Soundsystem Oststraße.

What originally started in a pub in London between Charlie Tate & Matt ‘DJ Shuff’ Harris in 1994 has come full circle 30 years later! King Kooba return with a new House EP, Constante, coming this December. The lead single, ‘The Ridge’ is a classic long building deep house tune featuring a driving synth line and a steady dubbed out jazz rhythm. Fans of the numerous Kooba singles over their consistent career will be pleased with this one.
