This 6 track EP is the next chapter in a lengthy career-spanning narrative of exploring cross-pollinated grooves and picks up from the much celebrated 'Submerged' and 'Violet' EP's, both of a similar ilk and quite sought after by vinyl collectors to date.

This second volume further solidifies the convincing narrative created by its best-selling predecessor, heading in a more groove-based direction in places whilst being underpinned by the same sonic narrative that has been enjoyed by many music fans from a variety of different spheres for the past 18 months or so

Продолжаем открывать грани баса, пропитанного дабом, в рамках серии миксов «Хроники Риддима». Сегодня за пультом JIPIE (читается Джипи) @jipie-aka-shitonshoes.  

Свой музыкальный путь Андрей начал с хип-хопа в начале 90-х в "черноморской Сицилии" - Новороссийске. Со временем он увлёкся ломаной электроникой – jungle, breakbeat, breaks, big beat, trip hop. В юношеском возрасте JIPIE засел за Fruity Loops (программа для написания музыки) и с тех пор понеслось. Среди тех, кто читал под его биты, Рем Дигга, Эйсик, Скато, UMR CRU и Алкоголь После Спорта. Помимо продакшена JIPIE отметился яркими куплетами в совместных треках с Рем Диггой, Эйсиком и UMR CRU. После периода создания хип-хопа на сэмплах Андрей полностью переключился на синтезирование собственных звуков, стал экспериментировать с голосом и подачей, выйдя за границы жанра. Теперь это не только рифмы, но и оригинальная, эмоционально насыщенная игра голосом на распев. Так в его в творчестве появилась новая глава, которую он пишет прямо сейчас. Последние годы JIPIE совместно с геленджикским тяжеловесом @thekercha работают над проектом ВРСПЛ (В Рэпе С Пяти Лет), где органично переплетаются электроника всех мастей, хип-хоп и уличный блюз. В этом году на Dub Raw выйдет альбом ВРСПЛ. 

Для «Хроники Риддима» JIPIE приготовил dub techno микс. Медитативный, местами меланхоличный и бездонный как ночное небо. Автор раскрывает жанр с разных сторон: от корневой дабовой к более ритмичной техновой, рассыпаясь в пути через эхо и реверберацию на отдельные психоакустические звуки. Этот микс для погружений, поиска себя и смыслов. Музыкальная психоделика от даба и техно высшей пробы.

I feel very lucky to have found Noisia's music early on in my infatuation with electronic music. When I couldn't get enough drum and bass, Noisia's sound always stood way ahead of anything else. I remember when I first heard 'The Tide' and how visionary it was (and still is even today imo), so when the opportunity to do a remix came up, I knew that I wanted to pull from that era of sounds and textures as the framework. Big thanks to Noisia and the team at VISION for the immense honor to be a part of this.
