Tim Parker has maintained a secure taste-maker status at the heart of the British hip-hop and alt-electronica landscape as a club & radio DJ for almost a decade. Originally from Cambridge, Parker’s time has since been spent in London contributing to the city’s musical landscape, operating as a crucial fixer-cum-influencer for the instrumental hip-hop community.

He helped materialise the first London appearances for acts such as Lapalux, KNXWLEDGE, The Range & Obey City (as co-curator of the Streets of Beige club night); hosted his monthly ‘You’ll Soon Know’ show on NTS radio since the station’s inception 7 years back (showcasing guests including MNDSGN, Ta-Ku & Joe Kay); commanded a residency at the 20/20 LDN club night as long as the event has existed; and has recently taken on an A&R role for dBridge’s widely-acclaimed Exit Records imprint.

In the time since his inaugural release on the 20/20 LDN label (with the track “U Smart” - a collaboration with Ivy Lab), Parker has developed a distinct solo sound, tipping his cap to the dance floor whilst encapsulating the instrumentation of golden-era hip-hop and its jazz-infusions.

The “Slanted” E.P drops on 31st August featuring 3 original compositions and a guest appearance from BSN Posse with their Jungle Juke remix of the EP’s title track. Cover art comes courtesy of Steve Teeps (Flying Lotus, The Weeknd, Odesza).
