Om Unit steps up with yet another self-released adventure into uptempo sonics. This time slowing the pace slightly, exploring the 150+ realm, taking in influences from Broken Beat, Garage, Electro, Dub Techno and other signature ingredients.

This 6 track EP is the next chapter in a lengthy career-spanning narrative of exploring cross-pollinated grooves and picks up from the much celebrated 'Submerged' and 'Violet' EP's, both of a similar ilk and quite sought after by vinyl collectors to date.

Flux (Full Preview)

The second instalment of the remixes from J:Kenzo's 2019 album 'Taygeta Code' sees two absolute heavyweight producers from the world of Drum & Bass collide on this 2 track EP. Kid Drama brings through dub techno funk and soul in his remix of 'Guilty' encompassing the beautiful drifting groove matched with dirty filtered mids. The legend DJ Trace drops a harder sinister edge to the tribal stepper 'Token Image' keeping the dubbed out licks and hypnotic percussion whilst adding nasty gritty synth lines harking back to his signature sound.

Beat-crafter, DJ and Samsara Beats head honcho. @HNGVR, or simply Rob when he isn't on stage, spent many years developing his own sound and playing his sets in many festivals, clubs and renegades around all the Bay Area in California and his native island, Sardinia. Halftime, Slowfast & Footwork are HNGVR’s main influences and inspirations but his music is difficult to classify in a specific genre; complex polyrhythmic drum patterns meet fat basslines and soft melancholic melodies, often enriched by chopped vocal samples. He finds himself comfortable on that thin line in between dancefloor music and introspective beats. His passion and dedication to music and all the connections that music creates, pushed him to found Samsara Beats and give his contribution to the Underground Bass Music community.

“Lately I’m enjoying covering a wide spectrum of Bass Music in my mixes, spinning at different BPMs and changing mood & intensity. For this one, I started at 140 BPM and went up to 174. I've always been into good drumbie or jungle, house music is where I live, but I like to travel outside as well, visit the neighbors so to speak, and make some drumnbass, ambient, techno or whatever. This versatility is one major bonus electronic music production allows us to do, and in my opinion one of the major reasons why I love making and living in the sounds of good electronic music in my productions. 
While I also fully enjoy jazz music and playing jazz piano, transcribing tracks by Bill Evans, Munk, Parker, Corea and many other legends, my mindset is in the study and mind expanding mode, as jazz theory in my opinion is one of the most interesting enigmas for a musician to get into "resolving", as it is really a gift that keeps on giving... but once I get my Moogs up and running, those lights and leds start turning on in my head as well, and I switch to pure enjoyment of making more electronic music, often incorporating what I learned while jazz studying, I guess ;)
You could say that I see ALL music as one big family, which often gets into quarrels with each other, but are always there for each other when, and if the shit hits da fan.

As one of my great teachers at Berklee in Boston '99 said: "It's just Music, maan".

I see this compilation as some kind of trademark for Through These Eyes and its signature sound. Therefore you find many producers on here that already released on my label before. When i asked Noh Vae for tracks he sent me this beat with the caption "If you know any MC, this would be a good beat for it!". I really liked the atmosphere of the tune and after some contemplation it was clear that this beat was made for T-Man. So after some e-mails in the early days of the Corona lockdown this epic London x Manchester x Berlin connection was done!
