DifferentSound Records is proud to announce the third compilation of a long series, with the participation of talents and well-known artists we trust us.

For the fourth installment of DifferentSound’s Various compilations, the label invites another list of 10 cutting edge artists to put their skills to the test. Dextro, Ferdinger, Steve Redhead, Off / Grid, Regent, Manuel Di Martino, Black Mirror Park, Franco Rossi, DJ SWISHERMAN and Dylan Fogarty all offer their unique vision of contemporary club music for a collection of tunneling and intelligent cuts, oldschool and newschool vibes.

This mix and all the tracks selected are mainly focused on the key elements I wish for in techno, which is having a locked in groove and rhythm throughout the whole duration of time. going between early hours to peak time anthems and in between previously known artists to the label and new appearances of new talents, all together, symbolized by different generations and areas of techno-based music, backed up with the label head Pate Jaar wide community following, marking the calendar for an exciting game changer release set for July 2023.

Following an impressive start to life in 2023, Marcel Fengler’s masterfully curated HARDPROOF series stomps forward into the new year with another hard-hittng editon. Coming in hot with an expected amount of minimal techno potency, the fourth instalment of IMF’s HARDPROOF VA series welcomes Sons Of Hidden, Rey Brennan, JANEIN, Mathys Lenne and Jay York with five creatvely crated original tracks.
The VA gets underway with Sons Of Hidden and ‘Forgotten Garden’, diving straight into a pulsating flurry of fat, rounded kicks and hissing hat grooves alongside its relentlessly pumping low-end drive whilst glitchy vox shots, sensual vocal accents and sinister samples give it an eerily tribal/primal feel before Ray Brennan’s ‘Defender’ brings more savage low-frequency power from the outset. Riding a reeling vocal sample from the off, its progressive peaks and troughs, filled with corrosive melodic components, keep things on full intensity for the duraton.
JANEIN comes next with ‘Perseids’ taking things on a hypnotc trip in this tribal-tinged kaleidoscope of dystopian synths and mind-bending modulation before Mathys Lenne’s ‘Lisa’ delivers more stripped- back ominous vibes alongside harshened industrial grooves and a rolling bassline. The release ends with Jay York and ‘Halsey’, which features a distinct alien feel from the outset and offers another solid exhibition of narcotic musicality set to the score of stadium-sized beats and a mix packed with fattened frequencies from start to finish.
