Sonic Wave Collective is formed from ABSIS (@absismusic), Cyklos (@cyklos) and Spear (@spearspear), each one with their own distinctive approach to music production, exploring and collaborating in a world of sound without restriction. They invite different artists to each event, with improvisation as the connecting nexus. At Midline, Puntalaberinto (@puntalaberinto) joined Sonic Wave Collective to perform this amazing all night long at Laut (@laut_barcelona).

For MNMT 402 we welcome London based artist, Sybil with a mystical two hour voyage spanning the deepest depths of techno and beyond, stitched together from a broad palette of textures, ambiance and psychedelia. 

About the mix Sybil said:

“For this mix I wanted to capture the icy freshness of January, a month filled with new energy, bright skies, and winter’s introspection. Inspired by a trip in the mountains: cold alpine air, glittering snow, and vast expanses of rock nestled amongst forests of pine trees. I also wanted to bring the sonic feeling of my Deep Mind Music (https://soundcloud.com/deep-mind-music) mixes into a techno format. A mix for daytime deepness, spiralling upwards on a shimmering journey through the sky.”

Luce has quickly turned into one of the most in demand DJs in Leeds, with her singular selection and mixing technique setting her apart from the rest of the Leeds scene, as she refuses to conform to stereotypical DJing tropes that often make everyone else seem like a copycat. She does things her own way and she has told us that the mix she has done for us is a very true representation of her sound - it's wiggy, deep and oh so weird, thanks Luce!
