Received a USB Audio Interface for my birthday last month, finally got all of the troubleshooting out of the way and wrote a song on the spot to celebrate! Nothing super fantastic, but for something I wrote in 3 hours I'm happy with it. Still need to pen up some lyrics to add vocals.

So the story behind this song....every night when my wife and I are trying to go to sleep, we hear a nearby train go by with its horns blaring incessantly. When we moved from our apartment to our house, I had thought we'd escaped it--but we didn't. And it's still there, right about the time we try to go to sleep. We moved over an hour away from where we lived previously and still this damn train torments me! So that's where the inspiration for this song came from. It's basically about a train, possessed by demons, rolling into cities night after night and just murdering and destroying everything. Brutal.

The first of likely many covers of Linkin Park songs I want to do! Sadly I was unable to reproduce the sounds of Hahn's dj scratching so the song feels a bit lacking, but overall I'm happy with the outcome and can't wait to do another!

It's here at last! I started work on this song months ago, and the concept has been in my head for well over a year now - write a song about the pirate that spread the gift of metal throughout the seven seas. Also officially the catchiest chorus I've ever written!

I recorded this a couple years ago, never uploaded because I never actually finished it. There were some spots I wanted to go in and tighten up that I still have yet to do (like the outro which is supposed to have a breakdown played over that riff to match the drums). This was meant as a rough demo just to have something to listen to.

The song is an old Celtic folk song. I first heard it performed by the Celtic Women and for some reason it just seemed like it would make a good metal song. The second chorus is exactly how I heard this song in my head when I first heard it. Some day I'll get around to finishing this up, but for now I'll share what I've got.
