Dubai-based DJ and producer Eleven makes his Sondela Recordings debut with 'Zama', joined by South African vocalist, songwriter, and producer Thandi Draai. For both artists, this marks their first release on the label, though Thandi is no stranger to Sondela, having graced the stage at our Amsterdam showcase in 2022. It feels fitting that one of our earliest collaborators now officially joins the catalogue.

The release opens with the melodic, piano-driven version of 'Zama', where Thandi’s heartfelt vocals shine with both vulnerability and power.

For Thandi, 'Zama' is a reflection of resilience. Just like the AmaZama Zama who dig endlessly for hidden treasures, life tests our faith with challenges that try to wear us down. The song is a reminder to endure, to rise above those trials, and to trust that true gold lies in walking your divine path.
