TONY_ALLEN_TRIBUTE_MIX

born into the lovely environs of suburban lands lying to the east of los angeles, and raised on frozen food and the religious right, eric tucker, currently finds himself happily free yet equally inspired by it all. after 26 years of living in the seaside republic of venice (now recently relocated to lincoln heights), eric initially established a successful career as an award winning commercial/fine art photographer. in 2003, he decided to pick up some vinyl, a couple of turntables, a mixer, two speakers and a few friends in order to begin the labor of love we call “throwin’ parties”. since this time, eric has put his love for photography on hold and co-created three very successful LA parties, FUNKY IN THE MIDDLE, CUSTOM SUNDAZE and theLIFT which burned brightly in LA and beyond (san francisco, new york, atlanta and europe). he has hosted and played along side such talents as GILLES PETERSON, ERYKAH BADU, JAMIE XX, MOODYMANN, BONOBO, DANNY KRIVIT, PSYCHEMAGIK, NICKODEMUS, LOUIE VEGA, JOE CLAUSELL, OSUNLADE, BLACK COFFEE, MR. SCRUFF, QUANTIC, DJ SPUN, RON TRENT, INFLAGRANTI, GASLAMP KILLER, TIM SWEENEY, MARQUES WYATT, KING BRITT, KARIZMA, RICH MEDINA, SPINNA, DAM FUNK, CUT CHEMIST, GARTH, JENO, J ROCC, MARK DE CLIVE LOWE and the one and only JEREMY SOLE to name a few. in 2013, with theLIFT in full swing, eric conceived and designed a restaurant/club, LOUIE AND CHAN/the303, in the lower east side of new york city.  after 10 years of a bi-coastal life between LA and NYC, he has relocated back home to LA and designed and operated his next love, melody wine bar which is currently popping off nightly. eric continues his quest to bridge genres of music and people; creating venues and events that are neither exclusive or segmented. in short, he loves life and adores his daughter zoe and his loyal pup brad.
