The song "Trapped" began as a collaboration between Jeremy Cubert and Tom Kraus - former members of the mid-90's Maryland progressive rock band "Brave New World." Jeremy sent Tom some recent material he had recorded and one song in particular inspired Tom to put pen to paper. The resulting lyrics tell the story of an autistic boy trapped in his own world as those who love him try to find a way in - to make a connection. Those who have struggled with autism and autism spectrum conditions know the challenges and struggles of finding acceptance and a place in a world that often does not understand or care. Music is a powerful way of connecting to others and sending a message about this important condition.

Rise Against - I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore

This is another one of my super quick covers, which was recorded and mastered in a couple of hours. It's non too tight, but that's the way I like it for these covers.

When I first heard this track by Bad Religion I didn't like it, I thought it was crass and unimaginative, but after a while I figured out that was the whole idea. Sometimes all you can say, whether it's correct or not to, is just say fuck you, it might be the wrong situation for a number of reasons but that's all you can muster, and even if you could have said something more eloquently, at least you said something.

So, if you don't like this track then.... that's fair enough, I respect that.

(Recorded, as usual, in Garageband with my Tanglewood acoustic, Apogee Jam interface and Samson C01U mic and super popshield)
