With great pleasure we present you episode 01 of our new Onderons mix series. None other than the talented collector, DJ, producer and overall nice guy @veebo took the time to select some of his favorite tracks and blended them in a "we-can't-wait-for-the-weekend" kinda mix. 

Ward aka Veebo is playing the game called "House" since 2005 and has brought his groove to dance floors like Club Der Visionaere, Golden Gate, Griessmuehle, Fuse, Zodiak,  and regular slots at Café D'Anvers, the legendary Sunday Matinee and now Ampere in the city of diamonds: Antwerp.

He also hosts a monthly radioshow at We Are Various called Gravy Train and together with Delbaen he forms the Pur Sang alias and the label @DeepDownAntwerp.

I don't often get sad when someone I don't know and have never met passes away, but in the case of Nathan Coles I felt, probably like many people, that I got a glimpse of him through his music.

This podcast/mix series wouldn't exist without his influence; from its name "Kitchen Spasm" , and to me being inspired by the original tech house  records on Wiggle, Surreal, Eukahouse, Swag etc. which were all seemingly produced by the same few people, Nathan being one of them, using various aliases. I always thought it was funny, which is why most of the mixes on Kitchen Spasm are me under silly aliases.

The original tech house sound remains one of my favourites to this day, the fun and the energy it contains is like nothing else. Like all musicians Nathan Coles will live on through his music, I wanted to put together a mix that showcased some of that music. A  large percentage of my tech house collection has Nathan Coles name attached to it some way, I don't want to diminish the work of the other producers involved in making these tracks, they are all equally brilliant to my ears, but ultimately today, this is a tribute to Nathan Coles, made up from the sound and records helped create.

Kitchen Spasm 147 / DJ Kitchen - Bored Of The Same Spaces (A tribute to Nathan Coles)

For episode 02 of our Onderons mix series, we’ve asked one of our resident DJs to select some tunes for us. Another experienced contributor to our scene which we all know too well: TOMHAS. 

From the age of 12 @tomhas started collecting music and gear, which got him to play a lot of all round parties back in the days. But it was later when he started to discover the existing of clubs, that he got hooked on house, techno and the more minimalistic music. 

 Over the last 15 years he shared line-ups with some of the greatest DJ’s in the game. Both international craftsman as local hidden gems who share the same love for the somewhat more underground music. 

He has an eye for new talents which is best captured by the impressive list of artists he booked for projects like Circo Inferno, Spectakulo, Roti, … and now Onderons.
