RAIN
And the rain holds me down,
I can't seem to find a clear patch of sky in this gray day.
Rain batters on the window sills,
dying short deaths on clouded glass,
like little lies on smiling lips...
they leave a trace,
they leave of trace of dreams lost and forgotten.
And the rain washes away my thoughts on this gray day.
Soundlessly streaming passed my past.
Quietly dreaming of gray, colorless days...
Snow falls like tiny breaths kissing my face
with cold promises.
Covered in nights loss, covered in night's frost
tiny worlds of innocent white,
leaving a trace of dreams forgotten.
And the rain holds me down,

cities shedding skin of froth and brine.

and in the glistening eyes of lovers,
who gasp for breath in the sunlight of a new day.

She leaves her bed,
Sheets twisted white ropes
in white fingers...
She leaves her bed, 
Floating with her mind
Far, far far away from here.

And finally rests on a leaf heavy with dew,
Then peers through the eyes of raven,
who with oil slick wings,
takes her far, takes her far away from here.

Until she becomes one with a pearl-fresh girl,
singing through bud-lips,
seeing through violet eyes,
heart thrashing against a borrowed breast
and real soul yearning for one boy,
hands strong, smile sure.

April Witch, wandering one, 
destined to love only your own kind.
Gather the cloak of spring about you
and dissolve into a singing night.
