One Beat Records was formed in Birmingham in 2010 by the drummer of The Charlatans, Jon Brookes and Ian Light (ex Virgin Records).

The label has a distribution deal with Believe Digital who were keen to back a new independent label that are aiming to kick start and develop emerging artist's careers. One Beat offers them great opportunities in recording environments suited to individual needs, and can help with marketing and offer contacts for gig opportunities.

The label is set up in association with the best lawyers and accountants to ensure total transparency to all of the artists concerned. After putting out our band's first few releases on One Beat, our ultimate aim is to sign our bands to bigger record labels who can offer them the financial backing they desrve.

The Music Industry has become new and exciting and offers many new challenges, resulting in artists and labels working in closer harmony. The many online services including social and marketing which can help break through new acts, are incorporated into a partnership where all concerned will benefit from team effort, sharing the success on all levels.
