This band started as two brothers from Guelph, Ontario who created an instrumental project band called "One Minute Shy" to show their original music as they write and record it. Not wanting to always be an instrumental band they kept their eye out for the perfect front man and in May of 2016 they found him in powerhouse vocalist Leo Flint! They also brought on board their long time friend and old band member Dwayne Benoit to play rhythm guitar.

How the guys discovered Leo is a really cool story. Fate came knocking on One Minute Shy's door when Craig and Leo seemingly met at random at the gym one day and started up a conversation about guitar and music. This conversation quickly revealed that One Minute Shy was looking for a vocalist and Leo was a vocalist looking for a band. From the very first meeting and jam together they soon realized that this was meant to be and Leo was a perfect fit and exactly who One Minute Shy was looking for. The rest as they say is history!

They have all been playing music since they were young and had a few band lineups over the years. Starting in high school, Scott and Craig played shows in Northern Ontario and then progressed to playing in cities in Southern Ontario over the years. Their last full band line up split up quite a few years ago and it's just been the two of them since with Dwayne stepping in once in a while. Leo has also played in many bands over the years and he brings with him years of experience. One of his former bands was even in the top four finalists for a Southern Ontario radio station's rock search contest.

Over the summer of 2016, the guys set out to record some songs and in September of the same year, they released their first three song EP called Steal The Pain. It was well received and this motivated the band to write and record their first full length album and for the next year and a half they worked hard week after week putting it all together. Everything involved with the whole process from writing, recording, and producing to artwork and promotion to the final release of the album in January 2018 was done by One Minute Shy themselves. 

Now that their debut album is out there, momentum is building up and the guys are now focusing on rehearsing and getting ready to play these songs live. Along with that they are continually writing new songs and have enough material so far for another two albums. More music and albums will be released in the near future! One Minute Shy have big goals, drive, and determination for the future. 

The best description of One Minute Shy's music is they are a throwback to classic metal with their own modern twist on it!
