Spiritual Gates

I recorded this moment from the bamboo forest overlooking Loguantai temple in China.  Loguantai is where Laozi (Lao Tzu) wrote the Daodejing.  You can hear the birds singing in rhythm with the evening temple drumming.  Just before this recording, a golden pheasant dropped out of the bamboo and led us down the mountain before disappearing into the forest.

This song came to me while walking through the Zoo with my 4yo boy Cassan two days after my dear friend Binah Zing shed her mortal coil and flew into the Dao.  Her spirit is with us strongly, helping us to dissolve the boundary between birth and death and realize the essential Unity of being.  Can we really ever leave our Home?  We love you, Binah Zing!
