From a young age Max always knew that music was his passion. He grew up in a musically-inclined family in San Diego, inspired by his two older brothers who used to play in a band together. Although the bands that Max has played in since the age of 17 did not last long, he has never stopped playing music with close friends and musicans. He is inspired musically by Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional), Paramore, Tegan & Sara, Beyonce, Haim, and The 1975. When asked about who/what inspires him as a human being Maxwell gives credit to the LGBT comunity and his older brothers for giving him strength.
