Felipe Novaes has a particular style. His pieces are difficult to put in a unique genre. Between Melodic Techno and Progressive House, with minimalistic beats, hypnotic arpeggios, strong synths and complex sequences.  No doubt here we have an important artist from the new brazilian electronic school. 

The argentinians Analog Jungs (Mango Alley, MNL, Or Two Strangers) have made a more progressive version of the 'Unchained' by Felipe Novaes. With this Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte  show why they are one of the most relevant artists in the current  progressive House scene.

Univack boss Integral Bread returns to the label some months after his successful EP 'Collage', this time to make a bit more progressive version of the 'Stardust' original by Felipe Novaes.

'The latest release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is a scintillating package, which brings together two titans of the progressive scene. The EP features two progressive house legends; Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren alongside their collaborators Soundexile and Nicolas Rada. They have both remixed tracks taken from the most recent Hicky & Kalo EP 'Borealis'.

It's been quite a ride for Hicky & Kalo in the last 18 months. The young duo have made a name for themselves in the progressive house scene with a string of quality releases, including a collaboration with Seth Schwarz and releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat and Cid Inc's label Replug. In the meantime, they were remixed by both Rodriguez Jr. and Sahar Z. The reaction to their latest EP 'Borealis' was quite something and the title track was even in the Top 100 Beatport Progressive House for 67 days.

With this powerhouse remix EP now on the way, it is surely the cherry on top of a momentous last 18 months. We hope you enjoy it!'

Buenos Aires-based Ezequiel Anile and Nicolas Petracca have been combining their DJ/Producer skills working together since 2014. Their signature touch is the blurring of simplistic genre boundaries in their productions and DJ sets, drawing on influences that meld elements of Deep, Tech, Progressive House and Techno. EANP - Live The Time

Making a mark on Proton Music on a regular occasion, GMJ and his "Mystic Sea" showed the Australian artist at his finest in late 2019. Returning to the title track, remixes come from UK and Israeli talents.

Imran Khan is a rapidly rising force in the world of underground dance music. Able to generate a beautifully original sound palette from the production tools available to him, the UK artist has shown a desire and passion to learn from his peers, understand his craft and apply new techniques to his work. Khan has subsequently amassed over a century of production credits in a three-year period that has seen him feature on a raft of high-profile imprints including Clinique, Stellar Fountain and Balkan Connection.

In addition, Particles and Proton Music have become a regular home for Khan's music with 2018's "Arrival" for the former and 2019's "Organik" and "Sunsweat" EPs for the flagship imprint in the latter half of the year. Taking "Mystic Sea" on a typically impressive new voyage, the Imran Khan remix glistens with rich a rolling groove tied to a subterranean bassline that carries the track dynamically forward. Retaining the feel of GMJ's original, a hypnotic lead riff echoes throughout while multi-textured pads fill the sonic space behind. Pulsating white-noise washes usher in a third movement as rhythm and bass take hold once more combined with melodic riff.

Following in the footprints of such luminary producers as Guy J, Khen and Guy Mantzur, Golan Zocher continues to forge his own path from his Israeli home with a growing collection of music that totals over a century of production credits. A respected DJ with a degree in audio engineering and his own Bloom Records, Zocher has found his work featured on such blue-chip labels as Pipe & Pochet, Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital. Moreover, an appearance on the "Global Entry, Vol. 1" compilation for the best-selling Sol Selectas imprint was a further notable highlight in March 2020.

Making his Proton Music debut, the Golan Zocher remix of "Mystic Sea" bristles with chunky low-slung groove that evolves gradually with pads from GMJ's original, before a powerful driving bassline takes hold. Full of brooding menace, a searing lead motif with its roots firmly in "Mystic Sea", pierces the rhythmic melange showcasing its strength at the mid-point breakdown. A rippling arpeggio adds depth in the latter stages to create a work of power, craft and technique.

'Presenting their debut collaborations, Dmitry Molosh and Nopi land on Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Consciousness Switch’.  Label artist and progressive music star Dmitry Molosh has found a comfortable home on the Finnish imprint. After rounding out 2019 with the chart topping ‘Cascade’, the Belarus based artist returned to Replug this year alongside fellow countryman Michael A for their ‘Integral’ EP. Dmitry’s 2020 has also been highlighted by his latest project for Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music entitled ‘Elison’. Having first appeared in March of 2019, Nopi has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the organic house underground. In just eighteen months the Ukrainian artist has found a home on Akbal Music, Kindisch, Sound Avenue and When We Dip XYZ. His fresh approach to deep and dreamy melodies has propelled him to one of the genre’s top up and coming artists. Now making a welcome debut on Replug, he teams up with label veteran Dmitry Molosh for a two-track showcase entitled ‘Consciousness Switch’. 

Getting underway with the title selection, Dmitry and Nopi combine their extensive forces for a cosmic slice of progressive house. From its full, muscular groove comes driving percussion, robust rhythms and ethereal effects. Evolving with power and class, placid atmospheres provide a colourful backdrop for a landscape of striking electronics. A majestic break sits at the heart of the journey, expertly crafted and spanning nearly two minutes in length, it’s effervescent rumble builds, as rising effects marry heartfelt harmonics for a commanding drop and enormous finale. 

Continuing the progressive minded ethos of the EP is the equally brilliant ‘Ungovernable’. Warm and mystical from the outset, the piece pulsates with cross cultural vocals blanketing rippling bass tones and free form effects. Effervescent stabs add character and grit as the vocal narrative evolves leading into the main break. Twisted bass modulation adds a wave of tension across the centrepiece, flowing through an unpredictable storyboard, before getting washed away in a rush of sonic decay and spirited vocals. Flawlessly tailored for an astute dance floor, it rounds out two stunning creations from Dmitry and Nopi, who have made their debut collaborative project a most memorable one.'

Tash's Movement Recordings caps off a successful year by unveiling the first installment of their 'ProgNoesis' series. As the label continues to focus on an amalgamation of progressive house and melodic techno, this new endeavour looks to unite a cross section of both new and established artists from these popular blueprints. Featured on the first edition (in order of appearance) are: Not Demure, Julian Nates, Agustin Pietrocola, Mooh, Fabri Lopez, Abaze and Minders, Ta'kaam and Xtabay.

Hailing from Argentina and getting the release underway is Not Demure with 'Bellabony'. The Mar del Plata resident makes his label debut following well received outings for Magician On Duty and LAIKA Sounds. Beginning with a warm, chunky groove and beefy percussion, the piece evolves with buzzing rhythms and haunting overlays flowing through the framework. Ghostly vocal wails bring ethereal moments across the first act, before an emotive break adds further intrigue to this groovy gem.

Next up is Julian Nates who makes his label debut following releases on Clubsonica Records, Dopamine White and onedotsixtwo. The Argentinean artist delivers a deep, percussive groover entitled 'Origami'. A well contoured low end brings a powerful flow to the piece, while murky motifs and ominous atmospheres add an air of mystery. Phasing tones bring a unique balance of tension and emotion across the final break, before a buzzing drop spearheads a driving finale.

Continuing in Argentina is it rising talent Agustin Pietrocola who makes his label debut following releases on Another Life Music, BCSA and Soundteller Records. Sleek and groovy, 'Dementor' flows smoothly with rhythmic pulses and astral arps dominating the first act. Sweeping effects transfer energy into the main break, where subtle modulation and a wave of drums unite for a classy crescendo and trippy final act.

The journey shifts gears with the driving, cross-cultural vibes of 'Connected' by Mooh who has recently showcased his music via Massive Harmony Records and Suprematic. Hailing from Egypt, the Cairo resident presents a mystical creation driven by rugged grooves, organic motifs and striking effects. Astral themes further saturate your senses leading into the main break, before eventually segueing into a cosmic conclusion.

Fabri Lopez continues the string of label debutants with the powerful 'Pilot'. With an impressive resume of releases on Balkan Connection, Clubsonica, Droid9 and Soundteller, the Argentinean artist maintains the dark ethos of the collection with a muscular groove and brooding rhythms. Not without emotive moments, the storyboard evolves with hopeful overlays and mysterious vocals during the break, as the beats drop for a mind bending finale.

With past releases on Diynamic and Elliptical Sun Melodies it's Abaze who provides the collection's sixth selection. The Chilean artist once again crafts something unique with the sleek, hypnotic sounds of 'Cyclon'. Smooth yet energetic, it's a rousing journey backed by tough beats, rolling rhythms and exotic drums. Hopeful atmospheres deliver peak emotions during the main break, as muted tones and tranquil arps get engulfed in a massive drum roll and dynamic drop.

The release concludes with Minders, Ta'kaam and Xtabay who wind the collection down with 'Hic Et Nunc'. Leaning towards the astral side of techno, the trio crafts a seven minute journey of deep emotions and redolent rhythms. With a compelling narrative and modern design it picks up momentum quickly, as trailing effects and compact arps fill in the framework. The main break only furthers it's poignant leanings, as glowing synth phrases steal the air, before a stripped back drop seals it's brilliance. It rounds out a superb inaugural edition of 'ProgNoesis' and also caps off another excellent year for Tash's Movement Recordings.
