Disclosure ft Mary J Blige 

'F For You' (Eats Everything Remix)

Disclosure’s ‘F For You’ ft Mary J Blige is set to get an Eats Everything make-over with a remix dropping on PMR this month. The record, belonging to Disclosure's Grammy nominated album ‘Settle’, has dominated the dance charts of late and Eats serves it a slice of added groove, making for a typically inviting dance floor track. 

Both acts have recently supported one another on recent dates, with Disclosure joining Eats Everything as a special guest at his XOYO residency and in return, Eats made a special appearance at Disclosure’s Alexandra Palace gig last weekend. Having a clear fondness for each other’s work, it was only a matter of time before a remix came to fruition.  Stripped back and built around his trademark punchy house template, Eats gives the original an altogether new dimension that is sure to make waves on both the radio and in the clubs.

Eats Everything kicked off 2014 with a brand new residency series at XOYO, London, with each date comfortably selling out. Alongside pioneering the resurgence of the residency to London’s nightlife, he’s been working his way around Europe too, touring some of the very best venues on the European club circuit.

The Disclosure remix is only the tip of the iceberg when when it comes to what Eats has lined up for the rest of the year. Rounding up the last few weeks of his XOYO residency, Eats will be releasing the ‘Hello Mr. Jello' EP alongside Justin Martin on Dirtybird Records and has a Hot Natured remix forecast, as well as a very exciting mix compilation in the pipeline.

No Artificial Colours - Hypnotize

Northern England’s Turquoise Blue imprint delivers the ‘Parallel Minds’ EP this September, coming courtesy of French duo Yamen & EDA, backed with remixes from Terence:Terry and John Dimas.
Yamen & EDA aka Hadrien Alaoui & Francois Sauri were born and raised in the south of France, since hooking up in 2011 and starting to produce material together the duo have found themselves playing sets at some of Europe’s most influential nightclubs, such as Watergate (Berlin), Social Club (Paris) and The Garage (Leeds). Here we see the pair offer up an EP for the ever on-point Turquoise Blue imprint, and with material forthcoming on One Records and the launch of their Rawmance LTD label, evidently these two are ones to watch over the coming months and 2015.
Last up to close the package is title cut ‘Parallel Minds’, bringing to light a more upfront feel to the duo’s productions here, as they employ dubby echoing synths, bumpy drum sounds and expansive atmospherics to create a punchy yet entrancing composition to complete the E.P.

Houndstooth are maintaining their non-stop supply of solid releases with this tantalising EP from DABJ staple Marquis Hawkes. Which also just so happens to feature Marquis' first example of working with a vocalist. We're feeling it for sure!

Back in April Brendan Neal debuted his post-Grown Folk pseudonym, Motions, with the stellar four track EP, All Gone, on LA based Body High. The record, which was described by online music portal FACT as "eight minutes of woozy house fare" is a pretty solid start to the Canadian born producer's new assault, which is set to continue with a release on Skream's new imprint 'Of Unsound Mind' later this year.

Mid December will see Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records offer up a various artist compilation entitled
‘MadTech 01’ a fourteen-track collection, featuring tracks from Artifact, Celsius, Cera Alba, Kalyde, Ben Mono, Simba,  No Twin, Majesty, Waifs & Strays, Kocleo, Newbie Nerdz, Mia Dora, Kashii, Ercos Blanka.

The MadTech Records imprint has come a long way since its launch back in 2012, having now released
twenty-five singles on the imprint from the likes of Citizen, Celsius, Josh Butler, No Artificial Colours and Mia
Dora to name but a few. Here we see the imprint push on with ‘MadTech 01’, a various artist’s compilation of
fourteen exclusive tracks, welcoming back several artists on the MadTech roster, while also introducing some
new talents onto the imprint.

MadTech Records kick off 2015 with the ‘Switch’ EP from Kalyde, backed with a remix from hotly tipped artist Applebottom.
Richard Main aka Kalyde is yet another exciting young talent emerging out of London, UK, initially coming onto the underground house scene via the collaborative Az&Tor project which released material via MadTech Records where he returns to here for a solo venture. This release marks the first of 2015 for the MadTech Records imprint, following a string of successful singles in 2014 from the likes of Kry Wolf, No Artificial Colours, Mia Dora and Celsius to name but a few.

Opening the release is title cut ‘Switch’ which sees Kalyde employ an array of gritty, distorted percussive elements, square wave bass licks and bleeping synth shots as the driving force, while heavily processed vocal chops and intricate modulations throughout the composition keep things in an ever-unfolding state.

Following is the second original from Kalyde entitled ‘OB’, retaining a similar frenzied feel to the preceding cut with glitching synth hooks, a rugged bass hook and raw drum samples, yet instilling a dreamy air to the vibe with floating pad lines and bright vocal murmurs.

Man of the moment Applebottom then steps up last to round off the package, treating us to his groove-led, energetic style with loose stripped-back rhythms driving the record along while manipulating the original’s synth lines to generate a mind-bending, acid-tinged feel over its four-minute duration.
Kalyde’s ‘Switch’ EP is out on MadTech Records 19th Jan (Beatport) and 2nd Feb (General) 2015.

The Headless Ghost trilogy out on Tamed Musiq comes to a close with the EP ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost, the analogue and 100% hardware project from Raphael Gros aka Ripperton has already seen him put out 2 acclaimed EP’s ‘Out’ and ‘77’. This third installment easily carries on their reputation with two remixes from fellow Swiss producers Deetron and Agnes. ‘Let’s Fall’ is easy to listen to, but in no way compromising the complexity of the productions, each remixer manages to bring a totally different angle to Headless Ghost’s ‘Let’s Fall’. 
Headless Ghost’s original first track Let’s Fall has an almost mechanic atmosphere certainly fitting with the mode of production. Let’s fall skips through staccato samples and pounding basslines, the track is raw and dark without losing its melody 
Deetron’s remix is a bouncing re-appropriation of Headless Ghost’s original track that maintains many of the same characteristics be it re-produced in a slightly lighter and higher sounding tone. 
Agnes creates a languid rolling version of ‘Let’s Fall’, chopping and changing the placing of the samples in the track she maintains an almost lazy rhythm throughout
