This is the story of growing up in a world where softness is punished and called weakness. I learned early to hide my sensitivity, my intuition, my heart. This track is me reclaiming those things and saying out loud that softness is not the opposite of strength, it is strength.

This is the moment the “funny friend” breaks character. The smile stops working. The jokes stop landing. It’s when the people around you still see entertainment, but you feel like you’re dying inside. It’s what happens when performing becomes too heavy to carry.

WHEN THE LAUGH DIES

The Empty Throne explores power as a substitute for attachment. When a father is absent or violently removed, the psyche learns that reliance is dangerous and rebuilds safety through control. Authority becomes armor, command replaces care, and certainty feels safer than closeness. This archetype doesn’t seek chaos, it seeks protection. If I’m in charge, I’m safe. If I’m feared, I won’t be abandoned. The strategy works until authority replaces love entirely, and the throne meant to protect becomes empty.
