Massive Old School sounds in this SECOND teaser from our huge summer-tastic Marco Darko EP out Monday 15th July!

NastyFunk are back again, and this time they're armed with a sunshine fuelled summertime smash in Marco Darko's "She Don't Want It" EP. Fresh from a string of fantastic releases (Hot Waves, Disco Electronica, Sleazy Deep) the Manchester based producer provides us with an unmissable release.

The original mix of She Don't Want It, perfect for both the underground as well as all those pool & beach parties in the summer months, is packed full of ultra-cool vibes and contagious grooves. With smooth, catchy vocals and feel-good thoughts, it's simply a must have. The B Side, Way I Feel, is another huge track, and a testament to the 90's old school UK sound, encompassing piano chords with acid synths, underlined by a silky & super-deep baseline.

Two remixes from two much admired Deep House figures compliment the release and add different flavours to the original of She Don't Want It. Culprit LA's Death on the Balcony provide a next-level dancefloor edit, laden with atmospherics and amazing rhythms, whilst S.K.A.M. kicks up the tempo with a fun & funky mover, that will get any crowd moving due to it's driving housey sounds and dark vibes.

For our third instalment, we would like to welcome Canadian native Sean Roman to the Get Twisted camp. After making waves in the Drum ‘n’ Bass scene, producing under the name of Mutt. Sean is now causing a quiet a storm within the House scene, scoring a string of successful releases on labels such as Akbal Music, Alive Recordings, Hot Waves, Extended Play, Runnin’ Wild and Suruba. 

Sean has built up a following worldwide and along the way gained support of his material from established DJ’s such as Solomun, Droog, Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and Miguel Campbell. In a short space of time he has became one of the in-demand rising stars in the industry today.

We are proud to present the ‘Trick Baby’ EP, the lead track ‘Trick Baby’ comes action packed with plenty of funk and deep driven grooves, with a seductive hook vox, sure to get most events started. ‘I Shouldn’t’ sees Mr Roman bring a more Nu-Disco/Melodic vibe, aided with an excellent chosen female vocal, that sits effortlessly. ‘Can’t Do Without You’ rounds off this well-crafted EP, expect more Nu-Disco antics, built with summer terraces and roof top parties in mind. This demonstrates further why Sean Roman is a name to look out for.

Huxley is a name you should already be well familiar with. Having delivered releases for an enviable handful of labels (Tsuba, Hypercolour and 20:20 Vision), he now joins the ranks of AUS music.

Huxley's rise to the forefront of the UK dance music scene has been an exceptional and speedy process, establishing himself quickly as a figurehead with a foot in both the UK Garage and House scenes. This release will tip off a successful year, that has seen the young producer tour around America, host his own Rinse FM show all while running his ever-dependable Saints & Sonnets imprint.

Whether veering towards deeper cuts (alongside Ethyl) on his own label, turning in cast iron grooves for Tsuba or full vocal barnstormers like ‘Let It Go’ for Hypercolour in early 2012, there’s a clearly defined yet versatile sound to Huxley productions that marks him out as a truly talented producer.
