Based out of Brick, New Jersey, One for Naught is a solo music project from musician/producer Jay Oliver. It's sound is heavily rooted in contemporary rock, combining hard-hitting guitar riffs with modern electronic elements and moody crooning with raw in-your-face vocals.

One For Naught was born in 2011 as a necessary emotional outlet for Oliver, who at times suffered from a crippling mix of anxiety and depression. His music still serves the purpose of shedding light on his demons and offering his unique perspective on life. Writing, performing, recording, and producing his music all within a small bedroom, Oliver hopes that One For Naught can, beyond music, inspire others to follow their passion regardless of their circumstances.
