If we don’t understand what Jesus Christ has done for us and then jump to what God has called us to do, then we can risk viewing God as a cruel taskmaster. Rather, if we are careful to know what the gospel is and what the gospel does, then we have the foundation and understanding and motivation to WANT to do what God has called us to do.
