The 3rd collaboration of prolific cellist Sara Oswald and electronic musician Feldermelder evokes captivating sensations that oscillate between impending doom and hope. The albums’ sonic journey is highly immersive, transporting the listener from one cerebral landscape to another. The transformative nature of metallic elements being integrated in sustained orchestral tones weaves the sonic tapestry, resulting in a captivating experience for the listeners. The organic sounding — reminiscent of minerals’ timbres — brings a touch of brightness and a distinctive edge, while the orchestral harmonic structures lend a sense of grandeur and continuity. Trained in baroque cello and advocating improvised music, Sara Oswald is the perfect match for sound artist and electronic musician Feldermelder. She plays solo, composes for film and theatre and collaborates with musicians like The Young Gods, Pascal Auberson, Sophie Hunger and Julian Sartorius. Feldermelder is a polymathic creative whose artistry spans composition, sound design, installation and code. He is co-founders of -OUS and part of Encor.studio, a collective of artists who specialise in creating immersive audio-visual installations. Through his work, he explores the idea of secrecy and its impact on our lives, using music and sound to create a thought-provoking and immersive experience for his audience.

Artos Eleven is an artist from the South of France and this is his second release.

For this specific album the artist has been inspired by the legendary novel Dune by Frank Herbert, where humans catalyze the ecosystem and the climate.
Artos took this feeling generated within him thanks to the novel to give a focus and create a unique creative unfolding that unwraps itself through every part of his LP where we find fragments of Deep, Dub, Breaks, Jazzy Grooves and Techno.

In words of Artos Eleven: with this long-form format, [S T] gives the opportunity to deploy a multitude of works and atmospheres to forge a unique artistic feeling perspective by releasing an album that might not have a place on any other label.

About Blacklight Chameleon: 

Behind Blacklight Chameleon is the Vienna-based musician and producer Martin Riedler. Riedler recently released under the pseudonym The Reboot Joy Confession on Michel 'Soulphiction' Baumann's Philpot Records. These contributions have resulted in collaborations with international artists like Dwight Trible, Bruno Morais, NY Jazz Guerilla, Vilja Larjosto and national jazz musicians like Lylit, Fabian Rucker, Richard Eigner of Ritornell or Flip Philipp of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
After many years of trying to bring musical diversity into the Upper Austrian club culture with a series of events in the early to mid 2000s and a long-standing radio show 'Fast Forward & Rewind' on Radio FRO in Linz, which he created together as part of the DJ collective Comeonfeet! he fnally moved to Vienna in 2007.
After a few ep's, rmx's, a solo album and scores for an object theater piece, Riedler released a mix series called 'For the Colleagues of Ubu & their Authorities' which led to a compilation of the same name, which he put together for Nutriot Recordings. The compilation contains music from artists like Dim 'Dimlite' Grimm, Zimpel & Ziolek, Tujiko Noriko, Merz & Julian Sartorius, Helen Money etc.
With his latest work 'Teraring at the Edges of all Restraint' and`The Plane of Now & Then´, which is also released on the Viennese Indie Label Nutriot Recordings, Riedler's music is halfway between studio production work and live jams with infuences of krautrock & experimental electronic music.

Since 2016, One Instrument releases annual compilations of compositions created by different artists. “Year 2022” is the 7th annual Various Artists release.
This yearly celebration is a good moment to remember the concept and background of the label and how it started.

In 2016, Grand River aka Aimée Portioli kicked off One Instrument the record label where she releases sound experiments from different artists composing pieces by using only one instrument, challenging and limiting each of the artists in producing a composition by using only this one instrument of their choice.

She shares that One Instrument started as a need for herself. She had a Korg MS-20 (the 1978 version) in her studio which she borrowed from a friend for quite a while. At the same time, she was finding herself switching too quickly from one instrument to another while composing. That’s when she decided to stick with one instrument for a whole composition and choose the MS-20 to do that. For the musician, it was extremely helpful to put some limits on the composition process and at the same time discovering that the instruments itself deserve to be explored and studied with more time and patience.

Besides the yearly compilations the label has released 16 physical and digital releases among which we can find the albums of Donato Dozzy, Felicity Mangan, Rezo Glonti, Daniele Di Gregorio, Bandhagens Musikförening, Darwin Grosse, Neel and many others.

Alina Kalancea is a sonic alchemist who can warp and weave electronic
signals into complex tapestries of synthesized analog timbre. These
transportive environments were recorded using the artist's personal
collection of historic Buchla electronic music instruments including
Allen Strange's expanded Music Easel.
Letters Never Sent, Alina Kalancea's second full length for Imprec
follows 2021's double LP titled Impedance and is being released at the
same time as a new cassette titled Alchemy.
Kalancea's music has the ability to evoke both emotion and image;
feeling and landscape; passion and place. She described recording
Letters Never Sent as being like collecting images that are born in
your mind. Shades of sound, tone, color and feeling shape the
experience of listening to Kalancea's work.
Kalancea's work is made of malleable sonic material that never looks
or sounds the same way twice. Part of the magic of the music, and her
work is similar to ELEH in this way, is that her work leaves room for
the conscious and unconscious emotions of the listener. How you react
is partially a result of how you feel at the time.
Alchemy, Alina Kalancea's subsequent cassette being released
simultaneously, is a limited edition appendix to the album Letters
Never Sent.

Study no.1 is guided by the principle of symmetry. The central spot of the composition is in the middle of the room - half the way on both horizontal X- and Z-axis. Each object always moves through both halves of at least one of the X- or Z-planes. The element which is being doubled, is followed by the same-pace movement of the element on the opposite side of the axis, but the movement is being reversed: element no.6 positioned on Z-4 goes from X-5 to X+5 while at the same time in the same speed element no.7 at Z+4 goes from X+5 to X-5. 
There are three elements which are the musical nucleus of the composition (1, 2, 3). These sounds are airy (noisy) but they have a recognisable pitch and form a minor triad. All other elements are tuned to these three elements which define the tonal center of the piece. This kind of interpretation of the harmonic aspect of the composition, parallels the interpretation of ‘symmetrical’ in spatial domain. 

This is a stereo mixdown of the piece.
