In this video, we want to take you through a rediscovery of the body. Through an exploration of color and movement, we study its forms, we appreciate its beauty, and we celebrate its power.

The paint explores as your eyes do, following its flow over the ripples and around the curves of the skin. Your view is deliberately limited to small details--edges, borders, and folds of flesh. While focusing on the paint’s course, you only see one bit of the body at a time. You aren’t allowed to see the whole picture;  you must slow down and watch the paint run. As the frame continuously shifts, your attention must shift along with it. Your eyes don’t have time to get familiar with the image because it’s already gone. Without letting you see the full body, we aim to disrupt traditional depictions of the nude form and show it in a new and strange way.

With these specific and unusual images, we want to show the universality of the body. In this video, the body is beyond sex or gender--it could be anyone’s body. It could be any elbow, neck, or belly button. It could be your back, my hands, their thighs. It is the body: made up of all these beautiful, moving parts. A living creature. #ICPTalkinImagesBody
