This is a very special and personal song. I wrote this many years ago with my good friend Alan Connaughton. I only had one verse written when we recorded the original demo. A year later, I wrote the second verse but sadly, Alan passed away before we got a chance to record the full song. Finally last year, I went into the studio and started to work on recording and producing the full song. Released on 1 October 2021.

Saint Patrick's Day, Ireland's National Day, is celebrated in many parts of the world, which is little wonder given that there are more than 100 million people worldwide who claim Irish connections. But some people mistakenly say "St. Patty's Day" so we decided to have a bit of harmless fun, or "craic" as we would say in Ireland, and come up with a fun, up-tempo song for the occasion. Feel free to join in and sing along. Happy St. Patrick's Day, even if you're not Irish. Céad Míle Fáilte -   translated, it means, a hundred thousand welcomes".

Many artists live quiet lives, almost unknown while they paint, in many different forms, the world as they see it. Their work is their passion and their legacy. Many pass almost unnoticed except by those who love them and they never find fame while the legacy some leave behind brings fame, long after their and crossed over.

The Artist

I wrote the lyrics for Destiny in 2017 and Riannti (https://soundcloud.com/riannti) wrote the music. Pre-Mix Demo music was recorded in Jakarta, Indonesia and the vocals by Riannti were recorded in Perth, Australia. We really should get around to finishing it.

Music comes in all shapes, sizes and colours (not literally)but we believe that music should have no boundaries. Different styles, different genres, different emotions, music is like one big melting pot and if we have an open mind, just let the mood of the day prevail and see what emerges. In this case, what emerged was a gentle romantic song with more than a hint of country. Enjoy!

There are so many types of music with endless influences. Music comes from the soul and should be allowed to spread its wings without restrictions, without labels and without being confined to a specific genre. It is an emotive universal language that spans continents to be enjoyed and shared with the world regardless of gender, colour or beliefs.
